The Halifax County Improvement Council invites residents to stop by the
Virgilina Convenience Center site on Saturday, August 18th for an
informational workshop on recycling.
Bring your recyclables (newspaper, cardboard, mixed paper, #1 and #2
plastics, metal cans and aluminum cans) with you and ask questions
about what's recyclable and the right way to do it! Friendly attendants
will be present to answer questions, as well as Improvement Council
representatives and County leaders.
Visitors will be assisted in sorting their recyclables and answering
questions on an individual basis, which will take about 5 minutes, and
will receive a free gift for participating in the workshop and
spreading the word about the importance of recycling throughout the
County.
The workshop will be conducted between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. The Virgilina
Convenience Center site is located on Route 734, between Virgilina and
