Two more subjects have been arrested in Operation Cold Turkey after
felony indictments were handed down by a Halifax County Grand Jury on
June 11.
  Investigator Jimmy Clay of the Halifax County Sheriff's Department
received information  concerning the two subjects indicted for the
March B&E and grand larceny of six firearms from the residence of Mary
Farley of Huell Matthews Highway, Alton which were found  in Person
County, NC.
Investigator Joe Weaver and deputies from the Person County, NC
sheriff's office announced that they had arrested Samuel Roland Clay
and Gary James Maxwell, residents of Person Co., NC on Tuesday, July
31.  The two suspects are being held in the Person County NC sheriff's
office jail on fugitive from justice warrants without bond.
  Following an extradition hearing the subjects will be brought back to
Halifax to stand trial.
