A 48 year
old Virgilina woman was killed shortly after midnight Saturday as she walked
along US Route 58, about one-tenth mile east of its intersection with State
Route 955. Debora Sue Foster was reportedly walking eastward in the east
bound lane of the dual lane highway when she was struck by the 2006 Cobalt
Chevrolet driven by Megan Nicole Bagby at 12:08 a.m. Foster was wearing dark clothing, and alcohol was believed to be a factor in the accident according to State Police Public Affairs Officer David Cooper. The accident was investigated by Virginia State Trooper P. W. Leath. |
