Halifax County Treasurer Linda S. Foster reminds County vehicle
owners
that the deadline to purchase and display the new 2007 County
windshield decals is April 15, 2007. As always all personal property
taxes must be paid before a decal can be issued. Those having unpaid
taxes need to come to the Halifax County Treasurer's Office in the
Mary
Bethune Complex.
SIn March preprinted decal applications were mailed out to most
owners
with return envelopes. Please being these applications in when
purchasing your decals. If you did not receive an application, you
need
to bring a copy of your Virginia state vehicle registration card to
the
Halifax County Treasurer's Office in the Mary Bethune Office
Complex,
1030 Cowford Road, Halifax. Regular decals are $25 each.
If you have any questions regarding County decals, please call the
Treasurer's Office at 476-3318, Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5
p.m. When applicable, please answer all questions asked on the front
of
the application, especially mileage of vehicles.
As always, Town residents need to purchase their town decals at town
offices. Do not go to the Division of Motor Vehicles to purchase
decals.
