Halifax County Sheriffs Office deputies were investigating the theft
of
a 1999 red Toyota pickup being operated by Jason Sizemore on
Thursday,
March 22 at 9:00 p.m. A B.O.L. was issued for the truck and driver
Jason Sizemore. After receiving information where the driver and
truck
could be found, deputies spotted the vehicle on Hwy. 96 in the
Virgilina area at approximately 10:50 p.m. A vehicle pursuit by the
deputies on Hwy. 96 and turning at Christie onto High Plains Road
ensued over into North Carolina on High Plains Road. With assistance
from the Person County North Carolina Sheriffs Office Narcotics
investigators, North Carolina Highway Patrol and Virginia State
Police,
Sizemore was arrested following the vehicle stop and a foot pursuit.
Jason Thomas Sizemore was arrested and charged with the following
charges on Thursday, March 22. Jason Thomas Sizemore, 26 years of
age,

Felony:
1- Fail to stop for a visible or audible sign from a law enforcement
officer
2 - Cash a forged check
3 - Steal a 1999 Toyota Tacoma truck
4 - Steal a 1987 Buick LaSabre automobile
5 - Steal a check
6 - Possess and transport explosive material after being convicted
of a
felony
Misdemeanors:
1 - Possess or transport untaxed alcohol
2 - Drive on revoked license
Sizemore is being held under no bond at Blue Ridge Jail, Halifax. He
is scheduled for arraignment on April 2, 2007 in General District
Court, Halifax.
