several recent break-ins.
Lt. Steve Cassada is investigating a larceny which occurred on June 25
at Union Grove CME Church, Union Grove Road, South Boston. Someone
pried a lock off a storage building behind the church and a set of
drums and a Craftsman weed eater were taken from the building.
Deputy P. C. Clayton is working a larceny reported on June 26 at the
home of Ricky Bryan, Cluster Springs Road, Alton. The following items
were taken from Mr. Bryan's back porch: Craftsman tool box with
assortment of tools, plastic tool box with tools, black plastic toolbox
with tools and a Black and Decker 1/2 inch electric drill.
Deputy Sam Gilliam is investigating a June 28 larceny at the home of
Curtis Owen, New Vernon Baptist Church, Oak Level Road, Halifax.
Entrance was made through a basement window and the pastor's door was
also kicked in. The door was damaged and a set of green drums was
taken.
