Two South Boston men were arrested on Monday, August 7 and charged with three counts of the grand larceny of scrap metal. Shanntel Ferrell of Lincoln Drive and Samuel Williamson of Dan River Church Road were arrested following a vehicle traffic stop.
A local Grand Jury in July had charged the two with the theft of scrap metal from the home of Jimmy Tussey of Philpott Highway, South Boston. The two men are being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Halifax on $7,500 bonds. They were to be arraigned on Wednesday, August 6 in General District Court.
