The Halifax County School Board meets tonight, a week before its schools open to the most far-reaching changes in almost 40 years.
On the agenda for discussion are use of the activity buses, student drivers at the STEM Academy, GED testing and the ninth-grade transition program into the high school.
On Wednesday, the Trustees will publicly christen two new schools and re-dedicate an overhauled and vastly expanded middle school.
The South Boston Elementary ribbon-cutting is at 9:30 a.m., the middle school is at 11 a.m. and Cluster Springs is at 2 p.m.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 7 in the Mary Bethune Complex in Halifax.
