The Board will hold the meeting at Halifax County High School instead of the STEM Center in Halifax. The meeting place had to be changed because of the on-going street construction in the Town of Halifax and the roof replacement project at the STEM Center; consequently parking would be limited there.
The meeting will take place either in the High School auditorium or the cafeteria and a school employee will direct visitors to the proper place, a school spokesman said last week.
The only items on tonight’s agenda are the public hearings on the proposed closures of Turbeville and Wilson Memorial Elementary Schools for the coming school year and the payment of bills for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2007.
