Halifax man held for armed robbery
On Thursday, January 24, 2008, at approximately 8:50 a.m. officers and
narcotics investigators with the South Boston Police Department
assisted by narcotics investigators with the Halifax County
Sheriff's
Office arrested Tarsha Williams, 35 years old from South Boston, at
703
Marshall Avenue on two counts of felony possession of a schedule I
or
II narcotic and one count of possession of marijuana from an
incident
that occurred last November.
While on scene officers observed a quantity of suspect marijuana
inside
the residence and obtained a search warrant for the premises. The
officers and investigators searched the residence and seized suspect
marijuana, suspect crack cocaine, and cash. Additional charges
against
Williams for drug possession and possession with intent to
distribute
are anticipated as the investigation continues.
