RECYCLING PICK-UP TO CONTINUE IN HALIFAX — Town employees yesterday talked with owners of Recycling Works, which is closing its business at the end of this month, about equipment needs and schedules necessary to continue the Town's recycling efforts.

Halifax Town Council will hold its regular monthly work session this afternoon beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Town Hall.
The Finance Committee will bring recommendations about the acquisition of equipment which will enable the Town to continue its recycling program which has been underway for several years now.
Finance panel members will also take a final look at the Town's FY2007-08 budget before it is considered for approval and appropriation next Tuesday night during Council's regular monthly meeting.
Current Affairs committee members will discuss the adoption of the Town's Comprehensive plan and the public hearing for the plan which is set for July 10. They will also review a request for a special use permit which will allow for a business to be operated within a residence. They will also get an update on the schedule for the Town's Fiber Optic Project.
