A South Boston resident, 43 year old Randy Jackson, was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, May 30, 2007 and charged with breaking and entering. He is being held on a $5,000 secured bond.  South Boston Police Sgt. R. E. Redd and another officer responded to reports from several citizens that they had seen a male subject enter and exit the back door of a home that was unoccupied at the time. Citizens approached the man and detained him until officers arrived on the scene shortly before 4 p.m.
