Helen Ray Whitlow Francis
Helen Ray Whitlow Francis, 65, of 300 Ellyson Avenue, South Boston died
Monday, October 29, 2007 at Halifax Regional Hospital.  She was born
April 21, 1942 in Halifax County, a daughter of the late Hugh Bryant
Whitlow and Nannie Conner Whitlow and was married to Kenneth Ray
Francis, Sr.  She was a member of Second Baptist Church and was a
former employee of Long's Drive-In for 30 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Donna Whitlow
Lawson and husband Cecil of South Boston, Belinda F. Laxton and husband
Richie of Austin, TX and Anne Francis and fiancé Steve Stott of Bailey,
NC; sons, Kenneth Ray Francis, Jr. and wife Amy and Roger Neal Francis,
all of South Boston; two brothers, Gene Whitlow of Chase City and Jesse
Whitlow of South Boston; a sister, Catherine W. Robertson of South
Boston; grandchildren, Randy Faucette, Deanna McCubbins, Michael
McCubbins, Coy Lawson, April Francis, Blake Francis;
step-grandchildren, Megan Czerniawski, Amber Czerniawski.  She was
preceded in death by one sister, Lada W. Tussey.
Private graveside services will be held.  Memorials may be directed to
Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 1058 Buckshoal Road, Virgilina, VA
24598 or a charity of your choice.
