OBITUARIES William Allen Fuller
Dr. William Allen Fuller, Sr., 86, of Mountain Road, Halifax died
Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in
Clover on December 30, 1921, a son of the late Dr. Rawley Harrison
Fuller and Corrie Allen Fuller and was married to Lucy Byrd Hodges
Fuller. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Dr. William
Allen Fuller, Jr. and wife Wendy of South Boston, Dr. Richard
Westwood Fuller and wife Jan of Richmond, Armistead Carter Fuller of
Halifax; two daughters, Beverley F. Hope and husband Steve of
Charlotte, NC, Lucy F. Twiford and husband Dennis of Kitty Hawk, NC;
10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, Rawley
Harrison Fuller and wife Dorothy of South Boston. He was preceded
in death by a sister, Sarah Bridgewater. Graveside services were
held Sunday, May 4 at the Family Cemetery, Lennig with Cannon Jack
Nietert officiating. Memorials may be directed to Southside

Margaret Maxine Fitzgerald Daniel
Mrs. Margaret Maxine Fitzgerald Daniel, 75, of 3093 Ball Park Loop,
Halifax died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Halifax Regional Hospital.
She was born in Pittsylvania County on December 2, 1932, a daughter
of
the late Mr. William Knox Fitzgerald and Mrs. Bessie McLaughlin
Fitzgerald. She was first married to the late Mr. Willie Webster
Dixon and later to Mr. John Daniel. She was a member of New Bethel
Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs.
Marilyn Gordan of Lanham, MD and Mrs. Angie Scott of South Boston;
five sons, Mr. Oliver Dixon, Mr. Starline Dixon, both of Washington,
DC, Mr.
Willie Dixon of Camp Springs, MD, Mr. Kelvin Dixon of Upper
Marlboro, MD, Mr. John Daniel of Halifax; one brother, Mr. William
Fitzgerald; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Womack, Mrs. Mable Guy, Mrs.
Clara Vaden and
Mrs. Carolyn King; 27 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, other
relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter,
Mrs. Patricia Fitzgerald and two brothers, Mr. Herman Fitzgerald and
Mr.
Peter Fitzgerald. Funeral services will be held today at 12:00 noon
at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Dean Clark
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
