Obituaries Mr. Everette Marshall Royster
Mr. Everette Marshall Royster, Sr., 54, of Skipwith died Friday,
March
23, 2007 at Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Mecklenburg
County on May 14, 1952, a son of the late William Royster and Ella
Watkins Sydnor Royster. He attended the public schools of
Mecklenburg
County and was a member of Saint Mark Baptist Church, Buffalo
Junction.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for the federal
government.He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Royster of
Fredericksburg; two sons, Everette Marshall Royster, Jr. of
Fredericksburg and William
Melessa Royster of Skipwith; one daughter, Mrs. Marsha Lynette
White of
Reston; seven grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; one brother,
James Richard Sydnor of Buffalo Junction; one sister, Wilmer Gross
of
College Park, MD; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Carol Sydnor; other
relatives
and friends.Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
at Saint Mark
Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Watkins officiating. Burial will
follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends
tonight
from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at C.H. Harris Funeral Home, Clarksville.
Mr. Jeremy Kashif Mosley,
Mr. Jeremy Kashif Mosley, "Scoot", 23, of Red Oak died Friday,
March
23, 2007 at Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax
County
on December 1, 1983, a son of Audrey D. Mosley and Ronnie K.
Pettus;
was a 2003 graduate of Randolph Henry High School and was a member
of
Salem Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother, Audrey D.
Mosley and companion Dennis Burwell; his father, Ronnie K. Pettus and
friend, Arnette; two sons, Jahmay and Jontay and their mother, Shatesha
Moore; one sister,
LaKeisha Mosley; half sister, Demetris Roberts and half brother,
Maurice Roberts; his grandfather, Charlie Pettus, Sr.; two aunts,
Mary
Brooks and Pearl Wooden; two uncles, Leroy Pettus and Charlie
Pettus,
Jr.; other relatives and friends.Funeral services will be held
today at noon at Salem Baptist Church with Prophet Harry L. Williams
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Iris Hash Edwards
Mrs. Iris Hash Edwards, 91, of 3080 Cherry Hill Church Road, South
Boston died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Halifax Regional
Hospital.
She was born in Ferrum on January 25, 1916, daughter of the late
William Pyrant Hash and Roxie Ann Edwards Hash and was married to
John
Thomas Edwards, Jr. She was a member of Cherry Hill United
Methodist
Church.She is survived by two daughters, Carrie E. Conner of South
Boston;
Charlotte E. Trent and husband Marvis of Halifax; one
granddaughter,
Charlotte Ann "Angel" Trent; two grandsons, Marvis Trent, Jr. of
Morgan
Scott Conner; one great-grandson, Blake Thomas Trent. She was
preceded
in death by five sisters and four brothers.Funeral services will
be held Friday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Cherry Hill United Methodist
Church with Rev. Jason Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Halifax
Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 7:00-8:00
p.m. at Powell Funeral Home.
