A HISTORIC GIFT — Chandler Nelson and
family, owners of record of the New Brick Warehouse, are
shown donating the property located at 701 Jefferson
Avenue, to Destination Downtown South Boston, a 501-C3
non-profit charitable organization for the restoration
and revitalization of historic Downtown South Boston. DDSB
plans for the
first step of adaptive reuse and the
restoration of the New Brick Warehouse to include a
feasibility assessment for reusing historic
buildings. The building is the only remaining warehouse
in the town
that was once the hub of the tobacco
