A BIG BOOST FOR NORTH HALIFAX VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT — Tracey Tribble,
treasurer of the North Halifax Ladies Auxiliary, presented this mock
$20,000 check Saturday night to fire department director Ray Waller to
help with the department's new facility for which bids will
be opened this week. The ladies made a total of $9,541 on their
various
quilting projects and the remainder from the sale of food at the
annual
