Brother charged in murder of South Boston woman

The body of a 57 year old woman, Carol Murray Wolfe, was found lying on the kitchen floor of her home early Monday morning, March 31 after Halifax County deputies were called to the home at 3008 Cherry Hill

Church Road, South Boston at 7:22 a.m. Ms. Wolfe was declared dead at the scene by the County Medical
Examiner. According to Sheriff Stanley Noblin, Ms. Wolfe apparently had suffered a blow to the head although the final report from an autopsy had not been received as of late yesterday. According to Sheriff's Investigator T. R. Spencer, Ms. Wolfe and her brother, 61 year old Kenneth Wesley Murray, were involved in an altercation in the early morning hours Monday. Murray was charged with the first degree murder of his sister by Investigator Spencer and is being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail . The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Virginia State Police and all other agencies that assisted in the investigation.
