Members of the Halifax County Sheriffs Department are busy
investigating several larcenies. Deputy Tommy Sergeant is in charge of
the larceny investigation of a single axle trailer, which was left
beside the intersection of US Route 501 and State Route 96 on February
25. The ten foot single axle trailer belongs to Rveben Herrea of
Winterville, NC.
Investigator Tommy Spencer heads up the review of the February 27 theft
of copper wire, a meter box and a heat pump that was taken from the
home of Teresa Lipscomb on Huell Matthews Highway, and Deputy Seth
Bowen is investigating the breaking and entering and larceny that
occurred at the home of Harold Williamson on Foster Road, Alton on
February 23. Someone broke into Mr. Williamson's storage shed and took
a weed eater, a Craftsman air conditioner, a battery box and other
tools.
