Jones Building Supply has a new venture

Jones Building Supply of South Boston has embarked on a new venture in its
business. The company has made a significant business investment to provide metal roofing, factory direct, with benefits to the customer.
Company president Ronnie Jones recently explained the new approach in an
interview. Jones said, "For the 22 years we've been in business, we've always kicked around the idea of starting this venture of making roof metal.
"It came available probably about a month ago. It looked like the time was
right," Jones said. "We've been selling metal for over 20 years, and it's a marriage between our truss business. We purchased the machinery, and we put in a complete sheet metal shop," he said. Jones Building manufactures roof metal, with a 36-wide coverage panel, custom cut to lengths up to 40 foot.
The company has ten different colors, as well as galvalume, featuring an
aluminized coating where the metal never needs painting. Jones Building also has a state of the art machine shop, with updated computerized operation.
The customers can buy metal roofing factory direct. For more information,
you may call Jones Building at 434 572-1379 or visit the website,
www.jonestruss.com.

The company has about 80,000 pounds of raw coil in stock, to supply most any
color as anyone would need, in addition to the quantity needed to complete a
project. Jones Building Company products include a quality warranty program for its customers. "The metal that we have carries a 25-year paint and warranty. Some of the residential roofs now are going to metal roofs. The colors have improved over the years," said Jones. The technology has improved considerably. Jones pointed out, "the longevity of the materials is quite a bit longer." Jones said the company made a major investment for the new program. This kind of investment that should bolster the struggling Southside economy.
Overall, Jones Building - also known for its storage building business,
among other areas - has grown 20-25 percent over the last two years.
"We cover a larger service area. We've extended our service area about 150
miles," said Jones. The company has also established a website, www.jonestruss.com, where customers can learn more about the new products and services.
