Healthy Kids Day returns Apr. 28

SoVaNow.com / April 19, 2012
Healthy Kids Day at the YMCA of South Boston/Halifax County returns April 28 with lots of fun, games, exercise and exhibitions.

This year’s event will feature several new additions including a karate demo, pogo stick races, a giant inflatable bouncy thing and water gun fights.

Make sure you arrive early because the first 40 kids will get a exclusive collector’s edition healthy kids day shirt.

Adrian Bryant, one of the organizers of the event said, “I’m excited! It will be a lot of fun, and we encourage everyone in the community to come out and visit us and just watch kids have an all out fun day.”

Healthy Kids Day is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (with open swim lasting until 12:30). For more information on the event you can contact the YMCA at (434) 572-8909.
