NASCAR limited sportsman driver Austin Thaxton has modest goals for the 2010 season at SBS.

Thaxton, driving for the Fallen Trucking team, tested at SBS on Saturday.

This young driver has much to learn about the sport, but certainly had a respectable campaign a year ago.

“The goals are to finish all the races and not tear much (equipment) up, get a bunch of seat time and get to go across the scales at least one time this year,” said the young driver.

Thaxton said, “last year, we got enough seat time to where we can actually be competitive this year. Last year, we didn’t have enough seat time to do anything.

“I think we’re going to be all right this year,” said Thaxton.

“I would really like to have a fifth place finish one time this year, and I’d be happy. I don’t really want to tear anything up. I’d really like to go across the scales so I can have a podium finish,” said the teenager.

“We learned, and we’ll be all right this year,” said Thaxton.
