Sports HCMS tournament opening round Tuesday

The Halifax County Middle School tournament basketball action has been rescheduled for Tuesday.The Lion girls will play Lunenburg here at 5 p.m., while the Lion boys meet Amelia at 6:30 p.m. The Middle School tournament semifinals are set for Friday, with the championships now set for Saturday. |

South Boston Speedway will crank up the 2010 season Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the running of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Twin 75's race program.
