On Jan. 12, the poor country of Haiti was hit by an earthquake that destroyed in minutes what took many, many years to establish. Cluster Springs Elementary Students and staff wanted to find a unique way to help those unfortunate people. CSES associate principal Marliss Barczak has worked with an organization called "Pinwheels for Peace" to raise awareness of the importance in helping others. This organization sent Barczak an email and asked for her consideration with a special project called, "Homes for Haiti". After discussing the project with principal Lisa Long and art teacher, Moira Dempsey, it was full steam ahead.
