Dear Viewpoint:The front page of your 3-4-10 paper was enough to discourage most anyone in this county. It was an absolute sham to find coyote bounties in the first place. Wildlife was here long before we citizens arrived. Why argue about the ag districts? Most of this is already decided before hand. Only thirty one land owners to question their appraisal. Most everyone probably was like me - just so glad theirs increased just 7% instead of 17 percent like the time before. Why go before the equalization board as I did in 2008 and be made to feel like an idiot. Powell might be a wonderful storyteller or reenactor but he’s also condescending. Maybe some day Sheriff Noblin can join the IDA as a job procurer. Imagine he has set up six new jobs in our court system albeit three are part time. So glad to see the county supes has turned loose more money and hired someone to oversee the county fair. Not wanting to sound totally heartless the article about the cut to the community services board dealing with pregnant young girls makes one question the validity of such programs. I thought maybe parent(s) and sex ed in school was supposed to educate our young people, not encourage them to tackle such things so early in life. I am Walt Regan |
