Mr. Bowen is survived by a son, Chris Bowen and a daughter, Kim Clark and husband Richard and a girlfriend, Rosa Shepherd, all of Virgilina, two step sisters, Eva Nobles and husband, Charles of Creedmoor, NC and Harley Jackson and wife Brenda of Greenville, N.C., and three grandchildren, Dylan, Evan and Logan Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ewell Adam “Peele” Bowen and Magruda Daniel Bowen and his step mother, Virginia Jackson Bowen. A funeral service for Mr. Bowen will be conducted on Saturday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at Hitesburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Norman Talley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Anyone wishing to give memorials is asked to please consider the Halifax County Cancer Association, P. O. Box 875, South Boston, VA 24592. |
