He is survived by his wife, Janice Lovelace Cox; one son, Jeffrey Cox and wife Annette; one daughter, Shannon Cox; one step-daughter, Jan Alvarez; one grandchild, Lillian Cox; five step-grandchildren, Jayse Phillips, Ryan Phillips, Leanna Alvarez, Lauren Short and J.R. Short; two brothers, Frank Cox and George Cox; one sister, Florence Walter, and many special nieces and nephews. The deceased requested no funeral service and the family will honor his request.
