UPDATE: Logging truck crash forces traffic detour in Halifax

UPDATE: Separate detours for tractor trailers and other traffic will remain in place for several more hours on VA 360 in the Town of Halifax following at early morning incident involving a logging truck.

A logging truck overturned on VA 360 in the vicinity of Route 653 (Ball Park Loop) and the east- and westbound lanes of the roadway are closed to traffic. While many of the logs have been removed, the closure will remain in place until a power pole is replaced.

Tractor trailer traffic is being detoured from Route 654 West to Route 501 South, while regular vehicular traffic is using Route 652 West back to VA 360 East.

An accident involving an overturned logging truck may create difficulties for motorists in the Town of Halifax this morning.

A logging truck overturned on VA 360 in the vicinity of Route 653 (Ball Park Loop) and the east- and westbound lanes of the roadway are currently closed to traffic.

Separate detours have been established for tractor trailers and other traffic. Tractor trailer traffic is to use Route 654 West to Route 501 South, while regular vehicular traffic is to use Route 652 West back to VA 360 East.
