Thomas R. Elliott Jr. and Jayne V. Pennington were united in marriage on Feb. 12, 2010, a snow-covered day in Greenville, S.C. The wedding site was originally planned for a natural outdoor setting beside beautiful Falls Park on the Reedy River. Snow fell in 49 of the 50 states that day and Greenville was transformed into a winter wonderland. The nuptials took place in the historic Westin Poinsett Hotel with the Rev. Diane Richey officiating. The new bride, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., has been a resident of the area since late 2006. The groom, a native of South Boston, is the CEO of Elliott Electric Service, Inc. of South Boston and Danville. The couple will reside on Halifax Road in South Boston. Halifax Community
