Sidney Rodriquez, supply pastor at Union Christian Church, delivered the Sunday sermon; Barbara Carnevale was organist; Lesley Cole and Amber Tuck were acolytes; Linda Tuck was greeter; the altar flowers were given by Owen and Barbara Murray in honor of Ralph and Beverly Murray and Carole and Joe Tisdale. Remember to bring light refreshments Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. to serve after the Voice of Praise performance.Prayer is needed for the family of Mildred Murray Torian family and Irving J. Kennedy, Sr. and all our sick and shutins. Mary L. Murray was honored for her 93rd birthday Friday at Ernie’s by her daughter, Mrs. Robert Harris and son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Murray with a dinner. The members of the YUM of Union Christian Church attended a fundraising Thursday night at Halifax County High School. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Glasscock, Mrs. Mason Pulliam, Ann Morris, Lesley Cole, Amber Tuck and Dustin Tuck. This group enjoyed a cookout Friday evening and movie at Union Christian Church. Randy Tuck, Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Tuck, Pam Tuck, Mrs. Michael Conner were Sunday dinner guests of Fannie Mae Tuck. Mrs. Tuck visited Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Francisco Monday and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Elliott Wednesday. Ms. Catherine Smith visited Mr. and Mrs. Tom Conner Thursday. Mrs. Allen Keeton and Mrs. Junior Keeton were overnight guests of their mother, Catherine Smith Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Smith, Jonathan and Shawn, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Henry Smith, Brandy and Becky visited her Sunday. Joyce Graham and Alfred Fletcher visited Mr. and Mrs. John Fletcher Wednesday. Other visitors during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Glasscock, Mrs. Roger Chandler, Mr. and Mrs. Casey Tuck, Amber and Dustin, Mr. and Mrs. Mason Pulliam and John. Visiting Mary L. Murray during the week were Gene Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Loftis and Chad Loftis. Her daughter, Mrs. Robert Harris was overnight guest Friday. Owen Murray, Fannie Mae Tuck, Mrs. Mason Pulliam visited Hannah Hite during the week. William Rice is now at his daughter’s home, 7034 Frederick Rd., Oxford, NC 27565; 919-693-3288. Morine Rice, Bertha Elliott and Mrs. Billy Murray visited Mr. and Mrs. Ryland Harris Friday. Jason Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Murray, Terri and Tyra and Morine Rice were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Murray.
