Rev. Ben Gault delivered the sermon at Union Christian Church Sunday; Barbara Carnevale was organist; Lesley Cole and Amber Tuck were acolytes; greeter was Linda Tuck. The altar flowers were given by David Glasscock in honor of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Fletcher. A luncheon will be served after morning worship to honor Rev. and Mrs. Jimmy Pulliam, bring a covered dish or dessert this Sunday. The women’s fellowship met Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall with a good attendance. Fannie Mae Tuck had the program. The senior citizens group will meet every quarter beginning in July. A sunshine basket was prepared for Jane Young. Present were Hannah Hite, Fannie Mae Tuck, Tuny Rice, Bertha Elliott, Carolyn Pulliam, Mary Alice Murray. Mrs. Wallace Nunn visited Ethel Glasscock Winstead during the week and she reported she is doing better and sent a hello to our church group. Fannie Mae Tuck visited Margaret Tuck who has returned to her home and reported she is fair now. She visited Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Tuck Thursday. Bob and Audrey Harris were overnight guests of her mother, Mary Alice Murray Friday and other visitors were Gene Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Loftis. Mr. and Mrs. Mason Pulliam visited Mr. and Mrs. Alvah Sydnor Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Tuck, Pam Tuck and Mrs. Michael Conner were Sunday dinner guests of Fannie Mae Tuck. Our special prayer list: Oscar Cliborne, Linda Rice, Lewis Chappell, Mike Gregory, Morine Rice, William Rice, Jane Young, Doris Byers, Louise Murray, Johnnie Rice Gradly Whitlow, Nick Mossino, Rose Speranza, Phylis Hudson, Carl Elliott, Jr., Jennifer Clement, Claude Glasscock Meadows, Lindy Tuck. Dorothy Hite was overnight guest of Catherine Smith Saturday and they visited Homer McClaire Sunday. Mrs. Smith visited during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Link, Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Smith. Alvah Sydnor visited Owen Murray Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Sydnor were at their home in Virgilina several days. Mr. and Mrs. David Jakoway, Fannie Mae Tuck, Owen Murray, Mrs. Wallace Nunn, Henry Murray visited Hannah Hite during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Ryland Harris, Jason Murray, Gregory Murray, Terri and Tyra, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Murray visited Morine Rice during the week. Mrs. Mike Glasscock and David, Mrs. Roger Chandler, Mr. and Mrs. Casey Tuck, Dustin and Amber, Joyce Ann Graham and Alfred Fletcher visited Mr. and Mrs. John Fletcher during the week. Dustin and Amber Tuck were Friday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mason Pulliam and John. Halifax Community
