Sunday call to worship was “God Will Make A Way” by the choir at Hitesburg Baptist Church. Don Loftis read the announcements and welcomed everyone. Hymn was “Have Faith in God.” Prayer time ended with a prayer from the deacon of the week, Dean Elliott. Choir speical was “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow.” Hymn was “Savior Like a Shepherd Lead us.” Everyone fellowshipped with one another while Deborah Pulliam, pianist, played a hymn or two. Brother Mike Bowen read a thank you note from Mrs. Sandra Watts and Boots, the Watts family dog. Bro. Bown brought the sermon concerning being saved by God’s ways and salvation. Scripture came from Exodus 12: 1-6 and I Corinthians 15: 20-25. Hymn was “Just As I Am.” Several members gathered around the altar to pray in memory and in honor of the late Rev. Bob Watts. Visitors at HBC Sunday included Greg and Whitney Cranfill, Erin Cranfill, Vince and Christine Newton, Tyler Newton and Cale Newton.Last Monday, Abraham Tillotson attended Rev. Bob Watts’ funeral at Grace Baptist Church and the interment at HBC cemetery. Last Thursday, Abraham visited W.G. Elliott. Friday, Mr. Tillotson visited Donald and Evone Jacobs, Brooke Jacobs and Tiffany Jacobs. Sunday, Abraham visited and had lunch with Bob and Deborah Puckett, Jon Puckett and David Puckett. Those visiting Mr. and Mrs. Willard Overby throughout the week were Bobby and Connie Cranfill, Leslie and Debbie Overby, Vince and Melanie Medley, Betty Griffin, Norma Elliott, Mitzie Waller, Ronnie and Deborah Pulliam, Andy Loftis, Greg and Whitney Cranfill, Erin Cranfill, Delores Hamlett and Rocki Hamlett. Ruth went to Don Loftis’ birthday celebration at HBC Saturday and others present were Decatur Overbey, George and Nell Daniel, Heiter and Betty Griffin and others. Saturday, Mary Dean went to an auction sale in Danville, on Sunday she went to New Harvest Assembly of God. Sunday evening, Virginia Lowery and Mary attended a singing at Bethel Baptist Church. Saturday, Sam Parham and Norma Elliott went to Raleigh to attend a hockey game. Sunday, Norma went to a shower for Christie McDowell. She also visited Elmo and Virginia Morris. Sunday evening, Sam and Norma visited Mrs. Alma Sibley. Monday, Norma visited Mr. and Mrs. Decatur Overbey, Mrs. Ralston and Linda Henderson. Robert and Peggy Overbey visited Mr. and Mrs. Decatur Overbey, Linda Henderson and a couple of others Sunday. Monday, Robert and Decatur went to Roxboro to dine out at Golden Corral for Veterans Day. Decatur served in WWII. James “Mettudry” Crute accompanied the two gentlement. Willy Shotwell and Ada Shotwell visited Esther Mae Murray Sunday.
