BLOODMOBILES SET FOR FEBRUARY 8 AND 9 The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be set up at the American Legion, Post 8, Jeffress Blvd., South Boston on Monday, February 8t from 2:00-7:00 p.m. The goal for Monday's visit is 50 units. On Tuesday, February 9 from 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. the bloodmobile will be set up at the Mary Bethune Gym in Halifax with a goal of 45 units. The traditional wreath presentations, followed by guest speakers and other events, will be held on Saturday, February 20, beginning at 10:00 a.m. National and state SAR and DAR society officers and members will be participating. The ombudsman at Lake Country Area Agency on Aging, Linda Gage, assists and advocates for residents in these counties. The local long-term care ombudsman also seeks to educate consumers of long-term care facilities and their families about their rights and seeks to empower them to find answers to their concerns.
