Worship service at Scottsburg UMC opened with the prelude “Spirit Song” played by Lee Snead. Call to worship was “We Have Come Into His House” by the choir. Rev. Doug Sasser had welcome remarks, announcements, prayer and led the responsive reading from Psalm 22. Hymn of praise was “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing.” Rev. Doug read Job 23 and had joys and concerns, pastoral prayer and the Lord’s prayer. Call to prayer was “Jesus, We Just Want to Thank You” by the choir. Offertory hymn was “Awesome God.” Ushers were Tim and Eric Snead. Choir anthem was “The Way of the Cross Leads Home.” Rev. Doug read Hebrews 4 and led the Apostles Creed. Hymn of preparation was “Open My Eyes That I May See.” Rev. Doug read Mark 10: 17-31 and his message was “Riches to Rags.” The Sacrament of Holy Communion was observed. Hymn was “God on the Mountain.” Sue Snead assisted Rev. Doug with Communion. Closing hymn was “Take My Life and Let It Be.” Benediction was “Bond of Love.” Tim Snead was acolyte. Worship service at Clover UMC opened with the prelude “Why Do I Sing About Jesus?” played by Joyce Edmondson. Call to worship was “This Is the Day” by the choir. Rev. Choir anthem was “I’m On My Way.” Rev. Doug read Hebrews 4 and led the Apostles Creed. Hymn of preparation was “Open My Eyes That I May See.” Rev. Doug read Mark 10: 17-31 and his message was “The Rich Man - Riches to Rags.” Communion hymn was “Break Thou the Bread of Life.” David Conner assistd Rev. Doug with Communion. Closing hymn was “Take My Life and Let It Be.” Benediction was “Bond of Love.” Susan Caddy was acolyte.

Trisha Noblin, Pauline Crews, Tiffany Noblin, Tyler Stolzenthaler, Jason and Chandler Toombs and Faye Edmondson visited Mattie Throckmorton and enjoyed the parade in Clover on Saturday.

Recent visitors of Pauline Crews were Doll Newcomb, Ruth Hazelwood, Barbara Guill, Barbara Wade and Lil Henry, Mary Parks, Mattie and Lisa Throckmorton, Andy Smith, Jim Smith, Jackie and Sherry Browden, Rev. Moore, Rev. Doug Sasser, Elise Bishop and Hazel Conner.

Recent visitors of Hugh and T.T. Edmondson were Sandra Waller, Gladys Powell, Larry Boyd, Juanita Smiley, Mary Tharpe, Jason Simpson, Jason and Chandler Toombs.

Clover UMC hosted a surprise birthday party for Rev. Doug Sasser at Clover Fire Department Friday.

Scottsburg UMW met at the church Monday with Marion Woodfin in charge of program.

Juanita Smiley visited Maurine Ligon, Kelly McKinney, Mrs. Ricketts, Lucille Cassada, Mr. Stewart, Ruth Torian. Juanita, Janice Snead, Christine Wilkerson and Irene Smith visited Gladys Buchanan and Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Buchanan in Lynchburg Tuesday.

Joan Snead, Janice Martin and Jacob Comer visited Faye Edmondson Friday.
