(For the week October 25-31)Worship service at Scottsburg UMC opened with the prelude “Blessed Be Your Name” played by Lee Snead. Call to worship was “This Is the Day” by the choir. Rev. Doug Sasser had welcome remarks, announcements, prayer and led the responsive reading from Psalm 34. Hymn of praise was “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.” Rev. Doug read Job 42 and had joys and concerns, prayer and the Lord’s prayer. Call to prayer was “Thank You Lord” by the choir. Offertory hymn was “Hallelujah! Your Life is Amazing.” Ushers were Tim and Eric Snead. Choir anthem was “Why Do I Sing About Jesus?” Rev. Doug read Hebrews 9: 23-28 followed by the Apostles Creed. Hymn of preparation was “O How I Love Jesus.” Scripture reading was Mark 10: 46-52 and Rev. Doug’s message was “Jesus Heals the Blind Man.” Closing hymn was “My Hope Is Built.” Benediction was “Bond of Love.” Acolyte was Tim Snead. Worship service at Clover UMC opened with the prelude “Footsteps of Jesus” played by Joyce Edmondson and Mary Tharpe. u Call to worship was “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus” by the choir. Rev. Juanita visited Maurine LIgon, Kelly McKinney, Mrs. Annie Ricketts, Ruth Torian, Mr. Stewart in Woodview during the week. Members of Clover UMC choir and UMW entertained and visited with residents at Woodview Sunday. The Clover UMW visited Maurine Ligon, Kelly McKinney, Mr. and Mrs. Satterfield, Mr. and Mrs. Barker, Annie Ricketts and others and read scripture and had prayer. Recent visitors of Hugh and T.T. Edmondson were Mac Edmondson of Victoria, Sandra Waller, Mary Tharpe, Jimmy and Maggie Edmondson. Willie and Angie Privette enjoyed lunch at Panda Inn Saturday. Willie was baptized at Clover UMC Sunday. Patsy Alderson joined Clover UMC Sunday. Willie and Angie visited Libby Privette and family Monday. Jacob Privette visited Cecil and Mary Tharpe, Willie and Angie Monday. nJason and Chandler Toombs and Faye Edmondson enjoyed breakfast at Shoney’s Saturday.
