Worship service at Scottsburg UMC opened with the prelude

Hymn of praise was “This Is My Father’s World.” Mary read Acts 7: 48-53. Mary gave report on Conference and had joys and concerns, prayer and led the Lord’s prayer. Call to prayer was “Seek Ye First” by the choir. Offertory hymn was “Farther Along.” Ushers were Tim and Eric Snead. Special music was “Faith of Our Fathers” by the choir. Hymn of preparation was “He Touched Me” followed by the Apostles Creed. Scripture reading was Genesis 22: 1-14 and Mary Tharpe’s message “The Lord Provides.” Hymn of celebration was “Where He Leads Me.” Benediction was “Bond of Love.” Acolyte was Tim Snead.

The Class of 1948 from Scottsburg celebrated 61 years class reunion Saturday at Roma’s.

Recent visitors of Hugh and T.T. Edmondson were Juanita Smiley, Angie Privette, Cecil Tharpe, Sandra Terry, Gladys Powell, Fran Whitlow, Jason Simpson.

Congraulations to Megan Czerniawski and Chris Martin on the birth of their daughter, Waverly Rayne, born June 19, weighing 7 lbs. 19 inches long.

Willie and Angie Privette enjoyed breakfast on Father’s Day with W.R., Jacob and Jessica Privette at W.R.’s. Angie visited Libby Privette Monday.
