Halifax County supervisors chairman William I. Fitzgerald and fellow Board members presented a framed plaque of commendation honoring the late Judge Irvin Douglas Sugg, Sr. to members of his family. On hand for the presentation Tuesday night were Sugg’s wife, Bernice, daughter Norma Jean Whitted and her husband, George, and their son, David, along with Judge Sugg’s son, Bryant Lee Sugg (left), now a judge in the Hampton Roads area.
