Special Concert to be held for Scholarship Fund

Event Described as Celebration of Life and Friendship

 

 

There is a new memorial scholarship planned to honor Kystina M. Hooker, with

a special fund-raiser scheduled Wednesday. A concert will be held in downtown South Boston, from 4 - 6:30 p.m., in Constitution Square Wednesday. The special event is described as a celebration of life and friendship, with music provided by Dane Ferguson. Ferguson, a HCHS graduate, now attends Old Dominion University. Donations of at least five dollars are welcomed at the concert, although contributions are not mandatory.

All donations go to the scholarship fund. Scholarship recipients will include a deserving HCHS senior involved in soccer, and a young person attending 4-H camp in the summer. For more information, please call HCHS head soccer coach Sid Young at (434) 572-4094, or Spencer Ferguson at 572-1954.
