A 19 year old Scottsburg man was declared dead at the scene on Tuesday
morning after a friend found his body, lying face down in a private
pond on Highview Road, shortly before 10 a.m. Jonathan Carter of
Bagwell Drive was believed to have drowned in the pond after a friend
believed he had gone fishing there the previous night.
Sheriff's deputies went to the scene shortly before 10 a.m.
