All principals now in place

Long-awaited teacher contracts should go out Monday, administrators at
the Halifax County Public Schools said this week. Now that the budget
is set, hiring and placement decisions can be made.
Teachers have complained of being in limbo, not knowing whether their
school would be closed or where they would be assigned.
Key elementary school principalships were announced this week:
• Sue Bagbey transfers from the closed Turbeville Elementary to the
high school as an assistant principal.
• Sherry Cowan moves from the closed C.H. Friend to Clay's Mill as
principal.
• Charla Crews transfers from the Instructional Technology Team to
Cluster Springs as assistant principal.
• Annette McAdams transfers from the closed Wilson Memorial to the
middle school as an assistant principal.
•Linda Maitland transfers from Scottsburg to the Instructional
Technology Team.
• Barbara Tune transfers from the closed Halifax to Scottsburg as
principal.
These appointments finish the elementary line-up.
