Old Fashion
Caramel Icing
1 pound light brown sugar
1 cup milk
1 stick butter
2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
In a heavy saucepan put sugars and milk. Bring to a boil and cook
slowly for 10 minutes. Add butter and stir until it is thoroughly
mixed. Remove from heat. Cool slightly, add vanilla and beat well.
Ice cake after icing is cool.
