Worship service at Scottsburg UMC opened with the prelude "I
Will Bless
The Lord" played by Lee Snead. Call to worship was "Jesus
Calls Us" by
the choir. Pastor Bonnie Pizzeck had welcome remarks,
announcements,
prayer and led the responsive reading from Psalm 116. Hymn
of praise
was "There's A Song in the Air." Evan Snead read Romans 5:
1-8.
Pastor Bonnie Pizzeck sung "El Shaddai" and had joys and
concerns,
pastoral prayer and the Lord's prayer. Call to prayer was
"When You
Pray" by the choir. Choir special was "Faith of Our
Fathers." All the
fathers were recognized: Owen Francis, oldest, Mike Ligon,
youngest.
Pastor Bonnie told the youth about upcoming conference in
Roanoke and
youth took up the offering followed by the Apostles
Creed. Hymn of
preparation was "When I Survey the Wondrous
Cross." Scripture reading
was Matthew 9: 35-38 and Pastor Bonnie's message "Harassed &
Helpless."
Offertory hymn was "Holy, Holy, Holy." Ushers were Tim
and Eric
Snead. Hymn of celebration was "Rescue the
Perishing." Benediction
was "Threefold Amen." Acolyte was Evan Snead.

Father's World" played by Joyce Edmondson on piano and Mary
Tharpe on
organ. Call to worship was "We Have Come Into His House" by
the choir.

agenda of the conference in Roanoke followed by the
Apostle's Creed.
