Strawberry Cake

1 box white cake mix

1 tablespoon self-rising flour

1 small box strawberry jello

1/2 c. water

4 eggs

1 c. oil

3/4 c. mashed, sweetened strawberries

Mix dry ingredients.  Add water.  Beat.  Add eggs, oil and

strawberries.  Bake in 3 layers in 350 oven for 20 minutes.

Icing

1 stick soft butter

16 oz. confectioner's sugar

1/4-1/2 c. mashed strawberries

Cream butter and sugar.  Add berries to icing to get the right

consistency.  Frost layers.

 

Dolly - W&M has finished exams.  Lacrosse is over.  Dolly is coming to

Halifax for a visit.  Yeah!

 

Attie Porier - My across the street neighbor, Attie Porier, will

graduate from W&M Sunday.  The family is moving to Turks-Cacaos Island

where dad, Greg, is running a plush hotel.  We hate to see them go.

 

Cotton Whitener

Try this to brighten those dingy white cottons.

1/2 c. automatic dish washing granules

1/2 c. bleach

1 gallon hot water

Boil some water to which you have added the soap granules.  Dissolve

completely.  Add to hot water.  Pour in bleach.  Soak whites 30 minutes

to 2 hours.  Rinse and wash as usual.
